LIN-A-MANIA IS RUNNIN' WILD BROTHER. WHATCHA GONNA DO? @ 01:49 am

Current Mood: cheerful cheerful

Jeremy Lin. A Chinese-American kid who played ball for Harvard, went undrafted, unrecruited, signed with the Golden State Warriors, played scant minutes his first season, got cut, signed with the Knicks his 2nd season, almost got cut, got sent to the D-League, got called up because of injuries and bereavement to some starters, got buried in the 4th string and crashes on his brothers couch in Manhattan.

So what happens when his coach finally gives him a chance to play significant minutes? Pure. Magic.

Stories like this is why sports are awesome.

Someone on Grizzlies bench: That shit is off!

*SWISH* *Melo tuns to bench*

Melo: I do this.

Welcome Home, 'Melo. @ 02:58 am

What an awesome night at MSG. Knicks 114 - Bucks 108. Carmelo Anthony's Garden debut was scintillating. Check out the introductions:

IMO the Knicks still gave up way too much for him since they were essentially bidding against themselves in crunch time. But Gallo, Felton, and Mozgov are now Nuggets and Melo is back playing in his birthplace. Billups is older than Felton, but he's no slouch at the point and he has playoff experience. They still need a true big man at Center and a coach whose defense philosophy is deeper than "they made more shots than we did". That will ever win an NBA Title.

Regardless of all of that, for the first time since the Ewing Era, the Knicks are going to be really fun to watch!
